NärCon Vinter
1 February 2026

It's been a while since I posted here. Originally, I planned to post updates every month, but after August I started moving between projects a lot and didn't vend at many markets or cons for the rest of the year. I thought the beginning of the year would be similar, so I could slowly prepare for VänCon in April. Then on Thursday, I got an email that I got into Artist Alley at NärCon Vinter, with three weeks to spare. I had applied in December, but only got onto the waitlist. I guess I got lucky. After stressing about planning everything, requesting time off work, finding accommodation etc., I'm now in prep mode.
Unfortunately, most of my new projects are still in development, so my assortment will be roughly the same as at last year's markets. I have been making more colors of the dragonegg dice bag in the meantime, because I can easily crochet them while watching a show or playing a TTRPG. I'll probably make some more flower coasters as well. At my last market, they looked a bit sad because I only had five sets left.

Here's a little glimpse at one of my newest projects. I'm trying to incorporate wire into amigurumi to make them posable. Last year I listened to the audiobook of Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, which I absolutely loved. With the movie coming up soon, I decided to read the book, which gave me a perfect opportunity to take notes on character descriptions.
This is my first attempt at crocheting Rocky. Inside him is a wire pentagon to support his five legs. I just need to make to remaining four legs, sew it all together, and embroider on his vents.
